Learning with no limits
We inspire girls to code, engineer, explore, create and design.
At St Mary's, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects are very much for girls. In fact, statistics show that girls in single-sex schools are more likely to study STEM subjects than their peers in co-educational settings.
Located in the heart of Cambridge (or Silicon Fen) we are surrounded by world-leaders in science, mathematics and technology-based industries. Working collaboratively with some of these companies, we have offered unique opportunities to students interested in this sector, including work placements with companies such as Mott MacDonald and Microsoft Research.
From Junior School onwards, STEM is a key aspect of our curriculum, alongside a myriad of extra-curricular opportunities, including the Youth STEMM Award scheme and connections with people working across the STEM sector.
We also offer scholarships to individuals who demonstrate excellence in Textiles, STEM, and Design and Enterprise.

"I aim to provide a creative space where students' passions for tecnology can be explored and self-esteem raised, through a programme where there's always a club at a level appropriate to developing each students' level of understanding, across their school career."
